"Be Drunk"

I think that it is important to "be drunk" and have passion for anything that you do in life. For example, most people know that I play volleyball. I mean I'm six feet tall, I played all threw Jr. High and High School, it's not hard to figure out. But going into college ball I lost all the drive and passion that I had playing this sport. Something inside me said that I shouldn't be doing this anymore so now I'm am a regular full time student at Dixie State College. I still love the game and I would love to coach when I get older but I was just going through the motions at practice and that's not the kind of person or player that I want to be. So I stopped having the passion for volleyball, but now I get go find something else to have passion for and if I like it well enough I'll put my heart and soul into being really good at it.

I think Edmundson has a point, some college students may be passionless but I think this is the time that people start finding their passions. We go to class, we have to do homework, and we have to study but we are starting to study what we want to study. We try to figure what major we want to go into and focus on that one thing. If we didn't have passion for it we wouldn't want to be doing that thing for the rest of our lives! Then we would go find something else we do have a real passion for like I am after quitting volleyball. This is the time we start figuring out what we want to do with our lives, so how can we not have passion?
